Rodong Sinmun Saturday dedicates an article to the anniversary of the work.

The article notes:

The past 20 years since the publication of the work were a significant period in which the Korean women's status and role as a strong force for building a thriving nation have been remarkably enhanced and their beautiful traits and revolutionary spirit have been demonstrated before the whole world under the energetic leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

A great heyday has now been ushered in the Juche-based women's movement of the DPRK under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The tradition of remaining loyal to the leader and devotedly protecting him that started in Mt. Paektu has been fully displayed in the on-going advance toward the final victory in building a thriving nation.

The country never forgets the Korean women who took care of their families, cells of society, cheerfully weathering all difficulties during the period of the hardest Arduous March and forced march, and have brought up children to be reliable pillars with warm love. The staunch spirit and great enthusiasm and total dedication of the Korean women have always been a source of dynamism filling the whole society with fragrance of beautiful life. It was thanks to the women who dedicated themselves to the society, collective and the great socialist family that the country could have advanced with dynamism despite all hardships and ordeals.

The WPK has reposed deep trust in the women as they are playing a great role in the drive for bringing earlier the great prosperity of the country.

The article calls on all Korean women to powerfully demonstrate their revolutionary mettle in the general advance for building a thriving nation, single-mindedly united around Kim Jong Un.
