At round-table talks sponsored by a joint fact-finding team on the sexual abuse committed by a brigade commander of the puppet army recently, the chief inspector of the puppet army headquarters who was heading the team, shielded the perpetrator, passing the buck for the crime to the service woman who fell victim to the sexual assault, according to Kyunghyang Daily News on Feb. 23.

A vice division commander treated the service women like criminals, making a malignant accusation against them.

On March 5 the commander of the 1st Corps, addressing a meeting of leading officers of the army which handled the case of a colonel of the puppet army who habitually perpetrated sexual abuses against the service woman under his command, raised the question as to why service women didn't clearly express their objection, stunning the public.

The south Korean military authorities had better put under control what is happening in the army, cesspool of sexual abuses, to begin with.
