Day of Sun to Be Marked in Switzerland

Pyongyang, March 8 (KCNA) -- A Swiss preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung (the Day of the Sun) was inaugurated with due ceremony in Basel on March 1.

Martin Lotscher, chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

A statement regarding its formation was adopted at the ceremony.

According to it, the preparatory committee decided to give wide publicity to works and exploits of the President and arrange diverse events including meetings, seminar on his exploits and film show from March 10 to April 16.
