According to Jong Kwang Byol, a researcher of Kim Il Sung University, the contests drew more than 7 940 teams from 80-odd countries, including Russia, India, Romania, the U.S. and Japan, in January and 6 100 teams from 82 countries in February.

In those contests, students of Kim Il Sung University overpowered their rivals to take top places.

The university has taken part in this world program contest since 2013, showing good results. It proved successful at the contests held in August, September and October that year.

Congratulating the university on such successes, the Codechef organizer expressed hope that it would continue to attend the contest and join in the work to present contest problems.
