The statement recalled that the CPRK in its statement strongly warned the U.S. and south Korean puppet group of the disastrous consequences to be entailed by their madcap drills for aggression against the DPRK.

This year the DPRK called for bringing about a great turn and change in the inter-Korean relations and opening up a wide avenue to independent reunification and repeatedly demanded south Korea stop all the war drills with the U.S., the joint statement said, adding:

The CPRK in its statement said the prevailing situation clearly proves once again that the U.S. imperialists and south Korean puppet forces are the arch criminals disturbing peace and stability on the Korean peninsula and screwing up the tension in Northeast Asia.

The U.S. is the root cause of creating constant tension on the Korean peninsula and the south Korean puppet forces' unconditional servility and pursuance of the U.S. are their inveterate mode of existence.

We fully support the DPRK's will to severely punish the aggressors.

We call upon the peace-loving people of the world to fully support the just struggle of the Korean people to cope with the moves of the U.S. imperialists and south Korean authorities for a new war.
