He said that Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military drills are an undisguised infringement upon the sovereignty and dignity of the DPRK as they are rehearsals for a war of aggression and a nuclear war.

The U.S. is working hard to have tighter grip on south Korea, stand in the way of the process for improving the ties between the north and the south of Korea, lay a siege to its surrounding countries and contain them and steadily escalate the tension on the Korean peninsula through ceaseless military drills in a bid to secure a pretext for beefing up its forces in the Asia-Pacific region, he noted, adding:

Now that the U.S. is becoming reckless and extremely desperate in the implementation of its hostile policy toward the DPRK, the latter declared that it would intensify counteraction of justice to smash it.

He expressed the belief that the army and the people of the DPRK would surely win a final victory in the struggle for defending the sovereignty of the country.
