This is apparently a wanton encroachment on the interests of all the Koreans in the north and the south and abroad.

South Korea is not a sovereign and independent state in the true sense of words as it has been under the U.S. occupation for 70 years with even the command of its armed forces in the hands of the latter.

The DPRK's powerful nuclear deterrent is a clear answer to the U.S. moves to stifle it.

It is the right and duty of all the states to defend their own country and people.

Some time ago, the DPRK clarified that it has a will to take a measure to respond to the U.S. suspension of joint military exercises in south Korea and its vicinity with a moratorium on the nuclear test.

The arch criminals escalating tension on the Korean peninsula are just the U.S. and the south Korean authorities colluding with it.

We resolutely denounce all sorts of arbitrariness attributable to the political conflict and provocations against the DPRK being made under the pretext of "democracy", "freedom" and "human rights".
