S. Korean Paper Discloses Wretched Plight of Women Workers
Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- Kyunghyang Daily News of south Korea carried an editorial on Mar. 9 disclosing the wretched plight of the women workers.

They staged actions to achieve rights of women on March 8, the International Women's Day, it noted, adding:

There is still red light as regards the rights and positions of women workers in south Korea. Their social positions and wages are the world's lowest.

More miserable is the plight of part-time women workers. 57.3 percent of the women workers are part timers. 28 percent of them receive wages less than the minimum wages.

The paper called for putting a prompt end to the discrimination and violence against women.

It urged the regime to immediately roll back the anti-labor policy towards women.
