S. Korea's Tightened Military Alliance with U.S. under Fire

Pyongyang, March 12 (KCNA) -- The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification of south Korea on Tuesday staged a demonstration outside the building of the "Saenuri Party" in protest against the party's moves to tighten the military alliance with the U.S. with the knife attack on the U.S. ambassador as a momentum.

The organization accused the party of raising the issue of deployment of THAAD in south Korea while asserting that the knife attack on the U.S. ambassador is damaging the U.S.-south Korea alliance and the like.

The above-said case should not be abused for political and military purposes, it noted, adding:

The tightening of military alliance will only worsen the north-south relations and strain the situation on the Korean peninsula.
