Action for Settlement of Sexual Slavery Issue Staged in Seoul
Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- The 1169th Wednesday meeting demanding the settlement of the issue of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army took place outside the Japanese embassy in Seoul on Mar. 11, according to a south Korean internet paper.

It was attended by members of the Council for the Solution of the Issue of the Volunteers Corps and other women's organizations, victims of sexual slavery and citizens.

A statement was read out at the meeting.

The statement recalled that the U.N. and the international community branded the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese army as an organized crime against humanity and a war crime and persistently demanded the Japanese government admit and make an apology and reparation for the past crimes.

This being a hard reality, the Japanese government has become evermore undisguised in its moves to turn Japan into a military power, it noted, adding:

The action to force Japan to pay for its past crimes will be ceaselessly staged.

At the end of the meeting, the participants marched from the Japanese embassy premise to Kwanghwamun Square.
