S. Korean Organizations Demand Stop to Missile Deployment

Pyongyang, March 15 (KCNA) -- Civic organizations of south Korea including the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification, the Confederation of Trade Unions and the Solidarity for Progress held a press conference outside the building of the "Saenuri Party" on March 11 where they denounced the moves for the deployment of THAAD in south Korea, part of the moves for intensifying the U.S.-south Korea military alliance.

The organizations in a press release accused the "Saenuri Party" of taking the lead in the deployment of THAAD in south Korea under the pretext of tightening military alliance with the U.S. as occasioned by an attack on the U.S. ambassador.

The "Saenuri Party's" attempted deployment of THAAD is an act of hurting the nation, the press release said.

It demanded the "Saenuri Party" not abuse the recent attack on the U.S. ambassador for tightening the military alliance and immediately stop the attempted deployment of THAAD that threatens peace on the Korean peninsula.
