Probe into Truth about Ferry Sewol Disaster Demanded in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, March 20 (KCNA) -- The Consultative Council of Families of Victims for Probing Truth about April 16 Ferry Sewol Disaster and Building Safe Society and the All-People Measure Council for Ferry Sewol Disaster in south Korea held a press conference in Seoul on March 17, according to Chamsesang, an internet paper of south Korea. Speakers said at the press conference that it is almost one year since the ferry Sewol disaster but the authorities have no plan to salvage the ferry from the bottom of the sea. They demanded the authorities salvage the ferry so as to find out those missing at an early date and clarify the evidence. They said they would call on the families of those missing to take part in demonstrations around Chongwadae and in Kwanghwamun and thus make the actions for probing the truth spill over to all areas of south Korea and conduct a signature campaign in demand of the salvage of the ferry. |
