The complex was built under the loving care of leader Kim Jong Il for the people and opened on March 21, Juche 69 (1980). Over the past 35 years, it has drawn a total of at least 65,450,000 people of all strata.

More than 7,000 people visit the complex on a daily average.

The complex has bathrooms, barber's shop, beauty salon and swimming gymnasium and wading pool.

Having all conditions such as temperature control facilities and water filters, the complex is operating a swimming gymnasium with more than 2,000 seats. It has hosted at least 180 domestic games and dozens of international games since its opening.

The employees of the complex are working hard to consolidate its material and technical foundation and steadily improving its service while updating and supplementing service facilities and equipment.
