DPRK Takes Preventive Steps against Measles
Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- A campaign goes on in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to prevent measles.

According to Ri Nam Song, section chief of the National Hygienic and Anti-epidemic Center under the Ministry of Public Health, measles recently broke out around the country, evoking fears.

In this regard, the government decided to take precautionary measures against this epidemic.

Under the decision, a border quarantine was launched on those who took trips to a country where measles occurred.

Meanwhile, medical workers across the country are conducting information activities among the inhabitants. And children under the age of 16 liable to measles have to get a medical checkup on a regular basis at schools, kindergartens and nurseries.

A work for supplying anti-measles medicines progresses apace in the country.
