Output of Fish Goes Up in DPRK

Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- Fishery stations in the DPRK have conducted intensive fishing in the waters off Monggumpho in the West Sea of Korea. More than a hundred fishing vessels under fishery stations in the west coastal area of the country are taking the lead in fishing. Among them are Mundok, Hanchon and Kamapho fishery stations. The Kamapho Fishery Station caught ten tons of tiny shrimps per netting, two times the figure of last year, while the Mundok Fishermen's Cooperative hauled 30 tons of fishes per vessel. According to Pak In Gon, department director of the Ministry of Fisheries, the ministry is expected to raise the output of fish for this year 1.5 times higher than last year. |
