At the news of Park Geun Hye's visit to the university that day, students held a press conference before its front gate.

Park is violating democracy through the racket for "eliminating followers of the north" and suppression under the pretext of security, they said, adding these actions are reminiscent of the Park Chung-Hee "yusin" dictatorship.

They said they were opposed to the visit to the university by the daughter of the "yusin" dictator as it has the history of the Pusan and Masan resistance for democracy waged in demand of the resignation of the dictatorial regime and abolition of the "yusin constitution".

They urged the chief executive not to tour the university, symbolic of actions against "yusin," but to stop the racket for "eliminating followers of the north" and lend an ear to voices of young people facing the worst unemployment and economic crisis.

Meanwhile, Hwang Sok Je, chairman of the General Students Council of Pusan University, also staged a sit-in strike.
