Speakers said at a press conference held in Seoul that if south Korea is to accede to the TPP, it should comply with the demands of those countries which became its members earlier and would be obliged after its accession to import American beef infected with mad cow disease as well as Japan's fish contaminated by radioactivity to seriously harm the people's health.

Peasants and other organizations in Jeju Province held a press conference before the provincial "assembly" building, expressing concern over the south Korean agriculture to be ruined by the accession to the TPP.
