It is a great art festival which was provided by leader Kim Jong Il, reflecting the unanimous desire of the people to hold in high esteem forever Kim Il Sung, father of socialist Korea and the eternal image of the great Paektusan nation.

The festival will bring together members of art organizations, art squads and itinerant art groups of Pyongyang and local areas and members of art groups. Divided into different categories, the festival will take place in the form of individual, group and joint performances at theatres, concert halls and cultural houses in Pyongyang from April 11 to 17.

The festival will be featured by presentation of songs praising the President. It will mark an important occasion of singing high praises of the revolutionary careers and immortal feats of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu and putting strong spurs to the development of Juche arts and the building of high civilized socialist nation.
