Revolutionary Battle Sites in Mt. Paektu Area Visited by Many Service Personnel and People

Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- On April 1 last year Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Un met and encouraged commanding officers of combined units of the KPA who participated in the study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in Mt. Paektu area. The revolutionary battle sites are associated with the undying revolutionary histories of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the revolutionary traditions of Juche. More than 2 700 organizations from across the country made study tour of the revolutionary battle sites for the past one year. The tour made by the commanding officers of combined units of the KPA was followed by many organizations and masses including model service personnel, school youth and children, officials and members of the trade unions and the women's union, leading party officials, officials and information workers of primary organizations of the agricultural workers' union and media persons. Service personnel of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, weathering blizzards of Mt. Paektu, deeply grasped the greatness of Kim Il Sung who led the great anti-Japanese war to a victory. Leading officials in charge of administrative affairs from across the country renewed their will to embody the noble spirit of the revolutionary forerunners in their on-going drive. Among those attending the study tour were officials, workers, teachers and students of the Hyesan Youth Mine, Pyongyang Department Store No. 1, Changgwang Public Service Management Bureau, Phyongsong University of Medicine, Hyesan University of Agriculture and Forestry and various other units. Officials, party members and other people and school youth and children from South and North Phyongan, Jagang, South and North Hamgyong and other provinces renewed their will to carry on the long journey for the Songun revolution to the end. |
