DPRK Team Wins Berth to 2016 AFC U-23 Championship

| Pyongyang, April 1 (KCNA) -- The DPRK team won a berth to the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship. Teams of the DPRK, Philippines, Cambodia and Thailand played preliminary league matches in Group G from Mar. 27 to 31 in Thailand. The DPRK trounced its Philippine rival 4:0 on Mar. 27, Cambodian rival 4:1 on Mar. 29. It played its last match with the Thai team on Mar. 31, which ended goalless. So, the DPRK men's soccer team placed the first in the group. |
