Bangladeshi Political Figure Denounces Japanese Authorities for Their Suppression of Chongryon

Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) -- The general secretary of the Central Committee of the Bangladesh Communist Party released a statement on March 30 to denounce the Japanese police authorities for searching the houses of officials of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon).

The statement recalled that the Japanese police authorities suddenly searched houses of the chairman and the vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon on March 26. It went on:

It is an unprecedented illegal act in violation of not only Japan's constitution and the criminal procedure law but also international law.

Chongryon is a dignified overseas citizens' organization of the DPRK.

That's why the infringement on Chongryon and Koreans in Japan is the one on the sovereignty of the DPRK.

The Bangladesh Communist Party scathingly condemns the Japanese authorities for their brigandish suppression of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan.
