The statement said:

We express bitter indignation at the violence the Japanese authorities committed by hurling huge police troops into searching the houses of the chairman and a vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee.

The search is an illegal repressive act against the legitimate overseas citizens' organization protecting the interests of Koreans in Japan and representing the DPRK and an undisguised act hostile to the DPRK.

The Japanese authorities, by committing such violence, self-revealed that Japan is, indeed, human rights tundra where national discrimination is rampant and the spirit of Samurai is reviving.

The crackdown upon Chongryon once again clearly proved that Japan is a shock brigade of the U.S. imperialists in Asia and the Japanese politics are further lurching to right and fascism as the case was timed to coincide with the offensive kicked off by the U.S. and its allies against the DPRK.

The Japanese authorities, stop suppressing Chongryon at once!
