The Switzerland-Korea Committee said:

We bitterly denounce the Japanese police authorities for their search of the houses of the chairman and a vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee.

Such violence is an intolerable crime and fascist terrorist act against Chongryon and the Koreans in Japan and discrimination and human rights abuse against the Koreans.

Chongryon is a legitimate overseas citizens' organization of the DPRK and the chairman and a vice-chairman are deputies to its Supreme People's Assembly.

Chongryon plays the role of diplomatic mission representing the DPRK in the absence of diplomatic relations between the DPRK and Japan.

We strongly demand the Japanese government make an apology to the DPRK for the suppression of Chongryon.

We extend firm solidarity to Chongryon and Koreans in Japan who are struggling for national democratic right.

The Solidarity Committee of Unionists for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea in Austria said:

We can hardly repress resentment against the Japanese police authorities' suppression of Chongryon.

With nothing can the authorities justify their most hideous crackdown on Chongryon.

We urge the Japanese authorities to stop at once the suppression.
