Speakers at the rally referred to the fact that the Ministry of Defense said that there was neither negotiation nor decision on the deployment of THAAD as there was no request for it from the U.S.

But recently the chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff said south Korea, U.S. and Japan are in the middle of establishing triangular missile defense system and south Korea is mulling purchasing THAAD, the speakers said, and went on: This goes to prove that the military authorities have so far deceived the people.

The deployment of this offensive weapon will threaten the people and knock into shape another Cold War structure in Northeast Asia while laying a big hurdle in the way of achieving the peace on the Korean peninsula and national reunification.

The military authorities should no longer pull the wool over the eyes of the people but resolutely reject the U.S. pressure for the deployment of THAAD.
