The statement said:

The Japanese authorities hurled many policemen into searching the houses of the chairman and a vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, a legitimate overseas Koreans' organization, who are deputies to the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, deliberately linking Chongryon with a case of suspicion without any legal validity and scientific evidence.

As regard the search operation by the Japanese authorities, the legal, media and other circles of Japan are denouncing it as illegal investigation, human rights abuse against Koreans in Japan and national discrimination.

We vehemently denounce the Japanese authorities for their politically-motivated racket against Chongryon.

The Japanese authorities should stop at once their hostile policy toward the DPRK and Chongryon.
