Present there were officials in the field of public health, ministries and national institutions, public organizations and media, the representative of the WHO here and staff members of missions of different international organizations, foreign diplomatic envoys and embassy officials here.

Speakers at the meeting referred to the fact that this year WHO proposed the issue of food safety as its theme to provide an occasion of preventing diseases from food and improving healthcare for people.

They stressed the need to intensify information service to imbue people with common knowledge on hygiene regarding production and preservation of food and its consumption so they may not suffer diseases.

The participants watched a video on safe food before looking around foodstuffs on display.

Hygienic information services took place in every province on the occasion of World Health Day.
