Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- Personages of Nigeria and Myanmar released statements on Mar. 30 and 31 in protest against the Japanese authorities' crackdown upon the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon). Alhassan Mamman Muhammad, chairman of the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, noted: It was an unprecedented illegal act of offending even constitution and criminal procedure law of Japan that the Japanese police authorities searched the houses of the chairman and a vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee who are leading officials of the overseas citizens' organization representing socialist Korea and deputies to the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK. Such violence is also an unpardonable human rights abuse and act of discrimination against Koreans and an open challenge to the DPRK. The political intention sought by the Japanese authorities in sponsoring such violence is to incite the atmosphere against Chongryon and Koreans and silence the voice of the DPRK and other countries in the world demanding Japan's apology and reparation for its past crime-woven colonial history. It is also aimed to authorize more "sanctions" against the DPRK and deliberately lay a stumbling block in the way of mending the DPRK-Japan relations. Tin Tun, director of the Myanmar Medical Research Institute, noted: The Japanese authorities' suppression of Chongryon assumes graver nature as it is timed to coincide with the vicious anti-DPRK "human rights" racket kicked off by the U.S. Japan, styling itself a "law-governed state", perpetrated such violence without any reasonable legal and scientific ground, not content with having come out as a shock brigade in executing the U.S.-led anti-DPRK "human rights" racket, being pursuant to the U.S. scenario. The violence was, indeed, hooliganism to all intents and purposes. The Japanese authorities should make an apology for it, punish those responsible for it and stop such moves hostile to the DPRK as crackdown on Chongryon. |
