The statement said:

The Japanese reactionaries have resorted to overt and covert moves against Chongryon, pursuant to their American master's anti-DPRK policy. The recent gangsterism perpetrated by them against Chongryon senior officials, pushing their hysteria beyond tolerance limit, clearly proves what an undisguised and dangerous phase their hostility towards the Korean nation has reached.

The Federation of Young Korean Nationals in China bitterly denounces the recent political hooliganism as an intolerable insult to the Korean nation and an anachronistic act of fanning up hostility towards Koreans.

The Japanese authorities should make an apology to the DPRK and Chongryon for the recent reckless action, severely punish those responsible for it and stop at once persecution and crackdown upon Chongryon and Koreans in Japan.

They should stop playing the role of marionette of the U.S. at once.
