Japan's Anachronistic Moves to Distort History Slammed
|
|
Pyongyang, April 9 (KCNA) -- The Japanese authorities are persistently resorting to distortion of history. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan on April 6 made public the results of screening the textbooks of secondary schools and contents of new textbooks to be used from next year. According to them, the Japanese reactionaries shamelessly described Tok Islets of Korea as "inalienable part of territory of Japan" in all the textbooks of social subjects of secondary schools. What should not be overlooked is that the director of the Cabinet Secretariat of Japan let loose such reckless remarks at a press conference that "it is important to give correct description in the textbooks in order to give proper understanding to children." The Japanese reactionaries' vicious moves to distort history are brigandish acts to cover up the past crimes and rewrite the criminal history and they are sparking off strong protest of the international community. |
