Present there were Kim Yong Nam, Hwang Pyong So, Choe Ryong Hae and other senior party, state and army officials, the chairperson of a friendly party, members of the party central guidance bodies in Pyongyang, deputies to the Supreme People's Assembly, officials of party and power organs, social organizations, ministries and national institutions, service personnel of the Korean People's Army and officials of organs and industrial establishments, labor innovators and working people in Pyongyang.

Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the C.C., the WPK, made a report at the meeting.

Kim Jong Un's election as first secretary of the WPK and first chairman of the NDC of the DPRK in reflection of the unanimous will and desire of the entire party and army and all the people was the greatest honor and fortune for the party and the revolution, the state and the nation.

He has conducted energetic ideological and theoretical activities, clearly indicating the orientation and ways of bringing about new turns in all fields of building the party and armed forces and carrying out economic and cultural construction.

He has consolidated the revolutionary ranks as a harmonious whole which forms a unit of comrades centered on the C.C., the WPK and shares the same breath, providing a political and ideological guarantee for the final victory.

He has developed the revolutionary armed forces into a matchless army replete with the revolutionary spirit of Paektu, the spirit of the blizzards of Paektu and equipped with diverse means of powerful strike of Korean style.

He regarded science and technology as one of the three mainstays for building a thriving socialist nation and has put the nation's overall science and technology on a new high level.

The work for placing national economy on a Juche-oriented, modern, scientific and IT basis made dynamic progress thanks to a high-pitched drive for breaking through the cutting edge and hosts of factories and modern production bases were built to be models and icons of industrial establishments in the new century.

Latest scientific and technological successes have been made one after another to further consolidate the position of the satellite manufacturer and launcher and nuclear weapons state thanks to the party's policy of attaching importance to science and technology and talents.

It is the immutable truth which all of us learned while following Kim Jong Un that the DPRK is sure to win every battle it fights and the final victory is certain as it is led by him.

The reporter called on all officials, party members and other people to protect Kim Jong Un politically, ideologically and with their lives and remain loyal to his idea and leadership.

The WPK and the DPRK government will open up a broad avenue to independent reunification at any cost, meeting the blatant challenges of the separatist forces at home and abroad with the might of Songun, true to the noble intention of the great leaders, the reporter noted, adding that they would make positive efforts to boost the friendly and cooperative relations with all countries that respect the sovereignty of the DPRK and are friendly toward it, and achieve peace and security of the world and prosperity common to humankind.
