The progressive mankind as well as the Korean people are splendidly celebrating the Day of the Sun every year, the paper noted, and went on:

The President beat back the U.S. and Japanese imperialist powers and turned the DPRK into a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence under the banner of Juche.

He regarded it as his motto to believe in the people as in Heaven and devoted his all to them.

Under his leadership free medical care, free education system and other popular policies have been enforced in the DPRK, turning the country into a harmonious whole where all people help and lead each other forward.

His great personalities and kind-heartedness touched the people.

Though he passed away, his idea and cause will shine forever as the sun does.

An Indian paper on Mar. 26 carried an article introducing the sincere aid he rendered to many countries and nations for their struggle for achieving national liberation against the imperialists and for building new society.

The website of the Anti-Imperialist Forum of Germany in an article titled "Banner of Independence Brightens the Way ahead of Humankind" praised the ideological and theoretical feats leader Kim Jong Il performed by enriching the Juche idea founded by the President to be guidelines for the cause of independence.
