An awarding ceremony took place at the hall of the youth league on Sunday.

Decrees of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly were read out and Kim Il Sung Youth Honor Prize was conferred on eight primary committees of the youth league and its 26 officials and members who waged a dynamic struggle to defend and glorify Kim Il Sung's and leader Kim Jong Il's idea of the youth movement and leadership feats and performed feats in building a thriving socialist nation.

Kim Il Sung Children Honor Prize went to 98 members of the children's union who set an example in the work to firmly prepare themselves to be juvenile revolutionaries and children's guards in the era of Songun devotedly defending the Workers' Party of Korea by learning from the glorious juvenile days of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
