The message extended warm congratulations to the president and friendly government and people of Syria on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of its independence, significant national holiday of its people.

Availing himself of the opportunity, Kim Jong Un wholeheartedly wished the president good health and greater success in his work, reiterating the firm solidarity of the DPRK with the president and people of Syria in their just struggle to protect the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of the country from aggression and terrorist act by the hostile forces at home and abroad.
