Koreans in Europe are enraged at the shocking news that the Japanese government searched the houses of the chairman and a vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon without ground and evidence even with an armored car involved, the statement said.

This was aimed at fanning up anti-DPRK and anti-Chongryon sentiments in the Japanese society, it noted.

The action taken against leading officials of Chongryon which is playing the role of a diplomatic mission of the DPRK is little short of the declaration of a war against the DPRK, it said, and went on:

If the Japanese government persists in the suppression of Koreans in Japan, all the Koreans in the north and the south and abroad will get firmly united to sternly punish Japan.

The Japanese government should make an immediate apology for the search of the houses of the chairman and a vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee.

It should clarify before Japan and world media that the search was illegal and forcible one.

It should apply the tuition-free program for senior high schools to children of Koreans in Japan and abolish the discriminating policy.

It should take concrete measures to prevent the recurrence of the action against Chongryon.
