Present at the event were Choe Un Bok, chairwoman of the General Association of Koreans in China, its officials and representatives of its umbrella organizations, Korean artistes, officials of the DPRK consulate general in Shenyang, members of the DPRK branches working in three northeastern provinces of China and Korean residents in Jilin City.

The vice-director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Jilin Provincial People's Government, the director of the Yuwen Middle School in Jilin and other Chinese personages took part in the event.

The participants laid floral baskets before the statue of Kim Il Sung standing at the middle school and paid tribute to him.

A meeting of the General Association of Koreans in China for celebrating the birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung was held.

Choe Un Bok in her report paid highest tribute to Generalissimo Kim Il Sung, the founding-father of socialist Korea and the eternal sun of Juche, representing the profound reverence of the association and all Koreans in China.

Immensely rosy is the future of Kim Il Sung's and Kim Jong Il's Korea led by Marshal Kim Jong Un, peerlessly brilliant commander, she said:

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.

A Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia exhibition, photo and book exhibition and art performance took place to mark the Day of the Sun.

Seminars, film shows and other events were held at the DPRK embassy in Beijing by the Zhongnan Regional Association under the General Association of Koreans in China on April 10 and in Shenyang, China by the Liaoning Regional Association of the general association on April 13.
