The participants laid bouquets before the portraits of the smiling President and leader Kim Jong Il and made bows to them.

Kim Chil Song, chairman of the Confederation, in a speech praised the President as the father of the Korean nation as he was born in Mangyongdae and grew up, receiving patriotic education from his parents, formed the Down-with-Imperialism Union in his teens and created the Juche idea and liberated the country from the Japanese imperialists. He went on:

The brilliant victories in the construction of a new society after the liberation of Korea, the Fatherland Liberation War against the U.S. imperialists and the building of a socialist state would have been unthinkable without the revolutionary career of the President.

The President was the greatest man in the 20th century recognized by the world. He is always alive in the hearts of the Korean people and other progressives in the world for his great exploits and undying contribution for the history and the nation.

Other speakers said the motherland is developing beyond recognition under the tested leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un and this gives great national honor to overseas Koreans. They expressed the belief that Korea would be reunified without fail.

Then an art performance was given.
