The President's work, published on April 6, Juche 82 (1993), comprehensively indicates the ways of achieving the great national unity such as the issue of founding a reunified state through the great national unity and achieving unity on the basis of patriotism and the spirit of national independence, the issue of promoting co-existence, co-prosperity and common interests and stopping all partisan disputes fanning up split and confrontation between compatriots, the necessity for the north and the south to trust and unite with each other and the issue of not rejecting people because of differing isms but joining hands on the road of national reunification.

Kim Jong Il's work, published on April 18, Juche 87 (1998), deals with the five-point policy for the great national unity which serves as important guidelines for achieving the great unity of the whole nation.

Kim Jong Un's work, published on April 6, Juche 101(2012), says that it is the principled requirement for victoriously advancing the Korean revolutionary cause to hold Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the eternal general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

It indicates the tasks to be fulfilled to steadily develop the WPK into the glorious party of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
