DPRK's Grand Monumental Edifices Introduced by Organizations of Brazil, Germany

Pyongyang, April 20 (KCNA) -- Organizations of Brazil and Germany posted on their websites on April 7 and 12 articles introducing grand monumental edifices of the DPRK on the occasion of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung. The Brazilian Committee for Solidarity with the DPRK said that one can see a torch on a big tower erected on the bank of the River Taedong, Pyongyang. That is the torch of the Tower of the Juche Idea, it said, introducing in detail the scale, form and symbolic meaning of the tower. Many people of the world visit the tower, it added. The Anti-Imperialist Forum of Germany in an article said that Kim Il Sung, the great leader of the Korean people, waged the bloody anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle for 20 years and liberated the country. He exchanged greetings with the people in the homeland at the public playground in Pyongyang on October 14, Juche 34 (1945) and made a speech on his triumphant return to the homeland, it noted. On the occasion of the 70th birthday of the President, leader Kim Jong Il made sure that the Arch of Triumph was built at the foot of Moran Hill where the President made a historic speech, it said, adding: The Arch of Triumph, a grand monumental edifice in the era of the Workers' Party, will convey down through generations the undying feats the President performed by liberating Korea. |
