Rodong Sinmun Monday says in an article in this regard:

The April popular uprising was the eruption of the pent-up grudge and anger of the popular masses under the colonial rule by the U.S. imperialists and their stooges for 15 years after Korea's liberation. It was the popular resistance against the U.S. and fascism, involving millions of people across south Korea.

Over half a century has passed since then, but the desire of the uprisers has not yet come true. This is entirely ascribable to the U.S. domination and interference in south Korea and to the traitorous moves of the pro-U.S. conservative forces.

South Korea turns back to the past period of "yusin" dictatorship.

The present puppet chief executive earns ill fame as a heinous dictator as she lends a deaf ear to the voices of the people and pursues treacherous policies with arrogance and self-importance.

Confrontation, tension and danger of a nuclear war have escalated for over two years since the present ruling forces took office.

The prevailing situation calls upon the people of all social strata in south Korea to launch massive actions for wiping out outsiders and traitors by inheriting the soul of the April popular uprisers.

The south Korean people will surely bring a final ruin to the reactionaries of history going against the times and nation through popular resistance for independence against the U.S., for democracy against dictatorship and for national reunification.
