President Kim Il Sung established it on April 18, Juche 44 (1955), clearly indicated the way to be followed by it and wisely led the work to develop the nation's industrial art.

Leader Kim Jong Il took revolutionary steps to develop the Juche-based industrial art. He personally examined industrial art designs one by one till they were perfected and led officials and creators to effect uninterrupted innovations in design creation.

The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) indicated the principles and ways to be consistently adhered to in developing the industrial art as required by the new century and energetically led the work to bring a new turn in creating industrial art.

The officials and creators of the studio have successfully created hundreds of thousands of designs in the past period, contributing to giving wide publicity to the greatness of the party and the leader, stepping up economic construction and improving the standard of the people's living.

The studio has developed into the nation's reliable industrial art production center staffed with able industrial artists and having a firm material and technological foundation. It was awarded Order of Kim Il Sung and Order of National Flag First Class.

The WPK Central Committee sent a congratulatory message to the officials and creators of the studio on its diamond jubilee.
