Foreign Minister Ri Su Yong and officials of the Foreign Ministry were present there.

Ri Su Yong said in a speech that the Indonesia visit paid by the President and Kim Jong Il was a historic one which injected new life into the anti-imperialist independent forces and the people of developing countries in their struggle to put an end to the imperialists' colonial domination and achieve national independence and sovereignty.

Immortal flower Kimilsungia which came into being as the flower praising the great man is now in full bloom as a symbol of the friendship between the peoples of the two countries and the world progressives' invariable reverence and praise of the President, he noted.

Bambang Purwanto said in a speech recalled that President Sukarno presented the newly bred beautiful flower to President Kim Il Sung and named it Kimilsungia when he was visiting Indonesia in April 1965.

He noted that not only the Korean people but the Indonesians and other people of the world are commemorating the Indonesia visit of the President and Kim Jong Il.

The Indonesian and Korean people will as ever boost the good ties of friendship which were forged and have been carried forward for decades under the care of the leaders of the two countries, he added.
