Present there on invitation were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Jong Suk, chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, Sin Hong Chol, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and officials concerned.

Staff members of the Cuban embassy were present there.

The ambassador said in a speech that the great career of the President is a model for not only the Korean people but the world revolutionary people, adding: The Cuban people will always remember the feats the President performed for the development of the friendly relations between the two countries.

The Cuban people watch with admiration the reality of the DPRK making great progress under the wise guidance of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Yang Hyong Sop said in a speech: It is the steadfast stand of the DPRK government to consolidate the bonds of militant friendship and solidarity with Cuba associated with the noble feats of the President and leader Kim Jong Il.

The Korean people will as ever always stand in the same trench with the fraternal Cuban people in the common struggle for independence against imperialism and for socialism.
