The Tokushima Prefectural People's Forum for Japan-DPRK Friendship condemned the police authorities' violence as an unreasonable search prompted by their political intention.

They searched the houses of the chairman and a vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee who are deputies to the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, treating them as "criminals", it said, adding the violence is only touching off the enmity towards the Chongryon and the DPRK against Japan.

It demanded the government make an apology for the violence at once and make reparations for the victims and opt for normalizing Japan-DPRK diplomatic relations this year that marks the 70th anniversary of Japan's defeat in the war.

The Osaka Citizens Solidarity Demanding Earlier Normalization of the Relations between Japan and the DPRK strongly denounced the unreasonable search by the Abe regime, saying it is intolerable. It reaffirmed that it would wage a dynamic action for Japan's liquidation of its past crimes and early normalization of diplomatic relations based on the Japan-DPRK Pyongyang Declaration.
