Day of Sun Celebrated by DPRK Missions Abroad

Pyongyang, April 24 (KCNA) -- Receptions, round-table talks, book and photo exhibitions and film shows took place at the DPRK missions in Russia, Vietnam, Laos, Mongolia, Cambodia, Iran, Myanmar, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Singapore and Uzbekistan, the DPRK permanent mission to the UN and the DPRK permanent mission to the UN Secretariat and international organizations in Geneva between April 6 and 14 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

Displayed at the venues of the events were photos of the President, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Exhibited there were their works and books and photos showing the struggle of the army and people of the DPRK.

Films shown included Korean films "Eternal Treasures in Praise of Sun" and "Fireworks of a Thriving Nation".

The participants paid high tribute to the President.

A vice-prime minister of the Khabarovsk Territory Administration of Russia said that the President was the great leader and outstanding statesman who brought freedom, liberation and prosperity to the Korean people.

A vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar lauded that the exploits the President performed for the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence are shedding their rays as a beacon indicating the way to be followed by progressive mankind.

The chairperson of the Youth Movement of Pakistan said that the President was the most distinguished state leader recognized by the world and the genius of creation who liberated Korea and built the people's paradise.
