Speakers recalled that on April 10 the police clamped down on a peaceful rally held by more than 40 civic organizations including the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification in protest against the deployment of THAAD in south Korea and for the immediate transfer of OPECON.

They also condemned the police authorities for barring in a premeditated and organized manner the press conference and peaceful action conducted in protest against the south Korea-Japan consultative meeting on security policy on April 14.

They demanded the prosecution thoroughly investigate and severely punish the police trampling down the freedom of assembly and expression.

At the end of the press conference the organization filed a written complaint in the prosecution against the puppet police's violence.
