Presented to the festival were more than 550 achievements made in scientific researches and technological innovations including proposals for developing agriculture, stock breeding and fishery and putting equipment and production processes on a CNC and unmanned basis with locally available resources and indigenous technologies and products based on latest technology.

Highly estimated at the festival were scientists and technicians of Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, the 618 Cement Factory and other units.

Present at the closing ceremony were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Choe Sang Gon, chairman of the State Science and Technology Commission, Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission, Jang Chol, president of the State Academy of Sciences, and others.

Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, the State Academy of Sciences and three other units took special places while the Academy of Agricultural Science, the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex, the Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory and 32 other units placed first.
