Reception Given by Indonesian Ambassador
Pyongyang, April 29 (KCNA) -- Indonesian Ambassador to the DPRK Bambang Hiendrasto gave a reception on Wednesday on the occasions of the 50th anniversary of the Indonesia visit by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the 50th anniversary of the naming of a beautiful flower Kimilsungia.

Present there on invitation were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Thae Hyong Chol, president of Kim Il Sung University and minister of Higher Education, Kim Jong Suk, chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, Kim Chang Do, chairman of the Korea Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Committee, and other officials concerned.

The ambassador said in a speech that the Indonesia visit by the President and Kim Jong Il and the naming of immortal flower Kimilsungia marked a special occasion in the history of development of bilateral friendly relations.

He praised the immortal feats the preceding leaders of the two countries performed by providing the friendly relations between the Republic of Indonesia and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

He expressed belief that the two countries would boost bilateral cooperation and support in various fields.

Yang Hyong Sop said that the Indonesia visit by the President and Kim Jong Il was a historic one as it provided a solid foundation for the development of the bilateral relations of friendship.

Immortal flower Kimilsungia is now in full bloom as a symbol of the friendship between the two countries and a flower praising the great man in reflection of the boundless reverence of the world progressives for the President, he noted.

He said that the DPRK would as ever make positive efforts to dynamically boost the friendly relations with Indonesia on a higher level in conformity with the common desire of the two peoples.
