The resolution made the following pledge reflecting the extraordinary will to pave a wide avenue to national reunification this year:

1. We will take the lead in ushering in the second June 15 era of reunification without fail in firm unity and solidarity under the banner of the north-south joint declarations.

We will resume and reenergize multi-faceted contacts, visits and assemblies for reunification between workers organizations of the north and the south and thus contribute to national reconciliation and unity.

2. We will certainly hold the football game of workers of the north and the south for reunification which was declared before all the Koreans and thereby positively promote national reconciliation and unity.

We failed to hold the football game for reunification for which preparations have been made in the run-up to the 125th May Day but we will certainly open the game in Pyongyang within this year and pave a broad avenue to contacts, visits, exchange and cooperation between the north and the south.

3. We will pool efforts with all Koreans at home and abroad and positively cooperate to successfully hold the events common to the nation marking the 15th anniversary of the June 15 joint declaration and the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation.
