Minju Joson Denounces S. Korean Authorities' Moves to Enact "Law on Human Rights in North"

Pyongyang, May 6 (KCNA) -- The south Korean puppet authorities and the gentries of the "Saenuri Party" held a consultative meeting at the "National Assembly" on April 27 at which they discussed a proposal on coordinating detailed contents of "the bill on human rights in the north" and tabling it as an agenda item requiring quick clearing. This huddle is aimed to railroad the bill through the 19th "National Assembly" come what may. Minju Joson Wednesday observes in a commentary in this regard: This is an unpardonable act of driving the strained relations between the north and the south into the worst catastrophe. The above-said bill is aimed to escalate the north-south confrontation. Nevertheless, the south Korean authorities are vociferating about the "need to enact the law, a product of their sinister intention to realize their ambition for achieving "unification of social systems" under the signboard of "human rights." They are ridiculously trying to enact the law, shelving the reality of south Korea, the land of darkness where the people are in the direst destitution and a tundra of human rights. They are a group of vicious traitors obsessed with confrontation with the fellow countrymen in the north and the ambition to achieve "unification of social systems." The service personnel and people of the DPRK will not overlook the criminal moves of the puppet forces but mercilessly frustrate them through toughest counteraction. If the south Korean authorities have time to go busy with the moves to cook up the above-said law, they had better reflect on having turned south Korea into a colony of the U.S. imperialists and a tundra of human rights and step down without delay. |
