CPRK Spokesman Slams Revised "U.S.-Japan Defense Guidelines"

Pyongyang, May 8 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea (CPRK) in a statement on Friday accused the U.S. and the Japanese reactionaries of revising the "U.S.-Japan defense cooperation guidelines" for aggression on April 27. The revised "guidelines" is a document for a war of aggression the keynote of which allows the Japan "Self-Defence Forces" (SDF) to enter south Korea at their will and stage military operations not only in contingency on the Korean peninsula but also in peace time, ignoring the south Korean puppet regime, under the pretext of military cooperation with the U.S. forces, pursuant to the U.S. strategy for executing a war of aggression, the statement said, and went on: The revision laid a springboard from which the Japanese reactionaries can zealously join in a nuclear war against the DPRK anytime under the pretext of exercising the "right to collective self-defense" and dispatch its troops to anywhere in the world. Consequently, the Korean peninsula has been exposed to the danger of a nuclear war and regional peace and security faced a serious challenge. The above-said revision is a natural product of the south Korean regime's disgraceful policy of sycophancy towards the U.S. and Japan. The Park Geun Hye group is hordes of traitors working hard to knock into shape the aggressive triangular military alliance, talking about "conclusion of agreement on intelligence sharing among south Korea, the U.S. and Japan" pursuant to the scenario of the Japanese reactionaries for militarist reinvasion, failing to utter even a word in protest against the crimes perpetrated by Japan against Koreans in the past. The Park group has gone so servile to the Japanese reactionaries, the sworn enemy, as to declare that it would resume the defense and finance ministerial talks with Japan pronto and hold with splendor an "event marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between south Korea and Japan" in a bid to "more closely cooperate" with Japan under the pretext of handling the past history separately from the security issue. The Korean nation is bound to meet a disaster as long as this sycophantic and country-selling regime is allowed to stay to encourage the Japanese militarists in their ambition for reinvasion, far from pressurizing them to redress their past crimes. Such source of misfortune and trouble should be rooted out at the earliest possible date. |
